Howdy everyone,
This is the last day of our trip to the Lone Star state.  We finished it off with a bang!  My dad took us to the Lone Star Gun Range for trap shooting.  It was my first time, but I actually hit four of the clay pigeons...... I won't tell you how many I missed.....

We drove north to Dallas for our flight back to California.  Throughout our trip we saw so many beautiful wild flowers which represents the beauty of the land and the people of the great state of Texas.  Thank you for reading my blog, more to follow on my next trip!

Howdy everyone,
Well, it was a rainy day but we made the most of it.  We went on a tour of the Alamo which was a defining moment in the history of Texas.

After seeing the Alamo, we went on a boat ride on the Riverwalk.  Our tour guide explained a lot about San Antonio history.

Hi y'all,
What a day in the Texas hill country!  We started out in Fredericksburg which is a quaint little town founded by German settlers filled with cute little stores and antique shops.

After Fredericksburg, we headed to the booming town of Luckenbach, Texas.  Population: 3

Yes my dad made me listen to the song...

Afterwards we drove through some beautiful countryside on our way to San Antonio.  We saw wild deer and a wild turkey. We had a wonderful dinner on the Riverwalk.  More to follow tomorrow.  Good night, enjoy some more pics.

Hi y'all,
Today was an amazing day!  We went on a campus visit to the University of Texas in Austin.  Ya, hook em Horns!  We had a great tour guide named Zac and he was very funny.  He had a lot of school spirit.  The campus was beautiful and very large.  I also thought it was very hip.

After the tour we went to South Congress St. for some shopping.  It is a hip street with some cool shops.  It fits the Austin motto: Keep Austin Weird!  I think it was more unique than weird.

Hi y'all,
Today we drove from Dallas to Austin. We saw so many beautiful fields of wild flowers along the way plus some really cool barns which screamed Texas spirit.  Some even had the state flag painted on them. We had breakfast at Chubby's and no one leaves skinny walking out of a place called Chubby's.

After we ate we hit the road again and stopped at Waco to check out the campus of Baylor University.  This is where my grandma went to college.  It was a beautiful campus and the buildings were all made of red brick.

After Baylor we drove on down to Austin.  One thing I noticed as we drove through Texas is that a lot of people have a star on their house which shows true Texas spirit. I think that is very neat.

We drove into downtown Austin and checked into our room at the Driskill Hotel.  It is a historic hotel and was built in 1886.  I like the old telephones!

We finished off the day with a great steak dinner and tomorrow we are ready to explore some more of the lone star state.

Hi y'all,
Just spent a day with family in McKinney. Had a great time hanging out with my dad's cousins and their kids. They had an amazing backyard with a trampoline and a creek which we went wading in.  (I got my feet soaked!) I also had the best Texan barbecue ever! Hope you enjoy some family pictures.
